The view from Tigh Mo Mhiann, Roybridge, Scotland

Please note that due to growth of the trees in the woodland between the cottage and the river the view of the mountains is now virtually obscured. You do get a good mountain view from the railway bridge though. The Panorama view is below.
The picture was taken at Easter 1996. The mountains are across the River Spean from the cottage. You can usually cross the river (it involves wading unless you want a 3-mile detour) and then after a little further walking you're into true wilderness - all the way to Rannoch Moor. This view is the reason why the roads from the south take such a tortuous route. The roads don't go over it. So the last hour of the journey is a massive detour via either Glencoe or Pitlochry/Dalwhinnie.
