| Please note that due to growth of the trees in the woodland between the cottage and the river the view of the mountains is now virtually obscured. You do get a good mountain view from the railway bridge though. The Panorama view is below. | |

| The picture was taken at Easter 1996. The mountains are across the River Spean from the cottage. You can usually cross the river (it involves wading unless you want a 3-mile detour) and then after a little further walking you're into true wilderness - all the way to Rannoch Moor. This view is the reason why the roads from the south take such a tortuous route. The roads don't go over it. So the last hour of the journey is a massive detour via either Glencoe or Pitlochry/Dalwhinnie. | ||
